Ben Glowacki is the Sustainability Strategy and Market Insights Manager for BASF. In his role, Ben is responsible for driving business development across various BASF business units by identifying solutions to unmet customer needs in the area of sustainability.
In addition, Ben worked with teams like the New York Yankees and Denver Broncos to engage customers and support marketing initiatives where BASF’s chemistry reaches the end user. He co-led a six-month Circularity Challenge to seek innovative ideas from startup companies that could provide proof-of-concept solutions to disrupt the plastics, energy storage and recycling value chains to help enable a circular economy.
Ben has an MBA in Business Economics from Montclair State University, and a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and Business from the University of New Mexico. He came to BASF in 2012 as a Market Development manager to create growth opportunities and leverage sustainability value propositions in commodity markets in support of a new capital investment project in Geismar, LA. Prior to BASF, Ben was with DSM as an Industry Manager where he managed an applications lab to drive innovation in polymer technology for sustainable architectural coatings. Prior to DSM, he held various positions within Sherwin Williams in R&D where he formulated low environmental impact architectural coatings for residential and contractor use.
